About Us

Lizeth Ortega Luna is the founder and principal of Luna Public Affairs, a bilingual public affairs firm working at the intersection of environmental advocacy, civil rights, and electoral communications.

Throughout her career, Lizeth has built advocacy campaigns, produced over 50 events and programs across 22 states and Washington, D.C., and connected communities to decision-makers who had never previously sought their input. She is currently organizing a Spanish-language media roundtable on data centers and environmental impact for Climate Week NYC with Climate Power En Acción — bringing the consequences of emerging technology infrastructure to the reporters Latino communities actually read. Her work with the Waterford Foundation built an advocacy and communications campaign for rural Virginians navigating the implications of data center development for their land and water.

For the National Parks Conservation Association, Lizeth turned a landscape analysis of the Delaware River Watershed into a plain-language public webpage — with a Spanish-language companion page that closed a documented gap for Spanish-speaking residents in the region. The National Park Service and NPCA's state and local partners now use it. She also trained NPCA's Mid-Atlantic Young Professionals Advisory Council to make the case for park investment before Congress.

Earlier in her career, she led bilingual, multimillion-dollar independent expenditures to flip congressional seats. She has worked with federal departments and legislative offices on behalf of her clients and secured placements from national outlets to hyper-local Spanish-language press.

Lizeth is a Master of Environmental Management candidate at the Yale School of the Environment. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa and as a Mellon Mays Fellow from Pomona College with a B.A. in Sociology.
